The Statusbot opens incidents itself; add your own updates and maintenance windows.
FAQ
Because a single probe can have problems itself. The Statusbot only reports "down" when the majority of monitoring locations cannot reach your target. If only one cannot, it shows "partially degraded" — with the location.
No. You top up your balance and book the Statusbot for 30 days. Renew whenever you like — nothing is charged automatically unless you explicitly turn on automatic renewal.
Anything public that belongs to you or that you are authorised to monitor: websites, servers, name servers, mail servers, databases. We do not accept internal addresses. Databases are only checked up to the connection handshake, without credentials.
You get a secret address that your cron job calls after each run. If the call is missing for longer than configured, the Statusbot reports the outage.
Nothing renews automatically unless you turn it on. Without renewal the checks pause and your status pages are offline; after seven days everything is deleted.
